Bad News Randy...

Randy Johnson,

I have some bad news; as of today you will have to allow Posada to catch for you. We all know you whined, complained, and bitched like a teenage girl going through PMS until Torre let Flaherty catch for you. Hey, maybe you were right - your numbers did improve with him catching. However, next year you'll have to suffer because today your arch rivals, The Boston Red Sox, signed Flaherty to a $650,000 contract for one year. I really don't care if the Sox use him or not because you'll have a miserable season now. Ahh is it not ironic that we just apparently want to swap teams Randy? But I guess in the end - we'll just be tied like last year if the we succeed.

Randy, will you do me a favor and ask Cashman what he was thinking signing Bernie to a 1.5 Million dollar deal when he just blew 52 Million on Johnny Damon for CF? Why waste the money? OHHH yeah thats right - because you all have money coming out of cracks that I don't know exist.

Maybe you should have suggested that the 1.5 Million was spent on Flarhety if your numbers would have been worth what they pay you.

Have a woooooonnnnnnderful Christmas (not!),

PS - is it nice to have another guy who looks like shit when forced to cut his hair on the same team?

In more important Sox news...

Sure we are all soooo tied up about the Damon issue - we forget that the Red Sox are still making moves. Thats right - something OTHER than Damon signing with the Yankees happened this week.

Get ready for this because what I'm about to tell you is a rarity in the Boston world; the Red Sox signed a relief pitcher... but wait... wait for it... a GOOD relief pitcher: Rudy Seanez.

You might remember Seanez from a few years ago - he has improved since then no worries. Post-July last season he was 3-0 with a 2.14 ERA.

Seanez will help bolster the Red Sox bullpen and save Schilling a few extra innings - hey he's so old he needs it.

But since I know you all really don't give a shit about our bullpen - but rather will miss the bearded caveman I'll even include a bit on Seanez's concerns of Damon leaving for the Evil Empire: "I'm not worried about it. They'll get something done. Good teams always do, and I don't think the Red Sox are any different. They'll find a way to plug those holes. I'm not too worried about it."

Pinstripe Special...

Man that is one UGLY Yankee. His butt is almost as big as Jeter's.....

Theology Of Sox - Continuing to be the best (humbly said)

That's right -I'm cocky on this one.

Johnny Damon goes to the Yankees. The news is available on ONE site. Thats right ONE news site. And Theology of Sox is the first Blog to report it. Obviously this makes TOS superior to any other so called "blog."

TOS reported the news before Soxaholix.com and bostondirtdogs.com.

So what more can you ask for out of a lousy college kid? Tee-Shirts??? Fine come up with a design and we'll print them.

Unfortunately, for the month of January TOS will not be the best in the business, actually it wont even be IN the business.

Starting January 4th I will be in Arizona furthering my education; until I return on the 27th you will have to suffer with inferior blogs to satiate your every blogging desire.

Until then return for constant puns, sarcastic comments, and wide left views on the Sox.

Damon's Christmas Wish List

Damon's Christmas List:
1. a razor
2. scissors
3. a cut off man in left field
4. a wig for off days

His contract - 52 million dollars
Watching him cut his hair - priceless

comments

Ok - Lowie made a woopsy! (Yes it IS a first). I had comment moderation turned on ... so tens of (not hundreds) but tens of tens (?) of comments were not published!

God I'm a fool!.

I thought everyone hated me!!!

Keep the love a flowin'!!!!

Bored

Does anyone else feel like this off season is just flat out BORING?

I mean there's no Schilling chase like that one Thanksgiving.
No A-Rod trade scandal (where's YOUR ring A-dog).
No Manny controversy - wait.... I guess some things never change - but hey 3 years in a row, it is getting a bit old bro. At least think of something new to do to get attention.

Sure Damon may or may not come back - but truth is - I don't really care - do you? I mean there are plenty of centerfielders in the game and hell if we got rid of the rest of the team that played decently (Cabby, Mueller, Graffy, Petey....) why not him too???

Roger Clemens? Come on people. Talk about it if its happening... not just something you'd LIKE. God. How many times have we heard "the Sox are going after Clemens." Yeah, so is every other freaking team.

Ohhhhhhh Theo left. Big whooop. Who cares? He doesn't know how to play first base or pitch does he? Didn't think so.

So here's the deal:
1.I'm bored to shit with this off season
2. I really don't think we can win next year
3. I don't know if I care at this point
4. I know I will care in 4 months

So #### it Sox - pull it together. I want to see a team in April.

poll!

Strictly Sox

Okay I'm breaking my rule about theology of sox and I am going to go on a tangent about the San Diego Chargers - my lightning bolts.

Yes, I have a confession to make - I, Lowie RedSoxFan, am NOT a Patriots fan; I am a San Diego Chargers fan due to Drew Brees and LT. I have a chargers hat. I do not don patriots apparel. I do root for the patriots, but my soul belongs with the yellow and blue.

So here's to you yellow and blue for beating the (no longer) undefeated Colts.

(Hey Pats fans - be thankful - this gives you a better shot in the playoffs. You should thank us)

I'll have a Dodger Blue Christmas Without You

All I want for Christmas is a hat of Dodger blue?

Nomar to be a Dodger

Mueller Signs with the Blue

And there go the dirt dogs... I'm more sad about Mueller than Nomar; Bill Mueller was a tribute to baseball - a dirt dog - almost like he belonged in the old game.

He's one of those players that just makes you realize why you love the game so much.

Thanks for the memories Billy.

Grow Up Already

13 Months later here we are, though the team has changed, one thing hasn't - the ball controversy.

Today the Red Sox filed a lawsuit against Mienty saying the ball belongs to them.

The entire thing is stupid. The ball isn't the property of the Red Sox, Mienty, or anyone else. It is a ball. Two pieces of leather and a bunch of string. Thats it. So what if the ball is on display in some cellar of Fenway you and I will never see or in Mienty's house?

The ball really belongs in Cooperstown so fans can see it. The Red Sox and Mienty forget this is all about the fans. Its not about their million dollar contracts and rights but its about the beauty of baseball and what that game meant to fans. But thats an argument that doesn't even come into play here, because neither side is giving in.

I really don't care who ends up with the ball. In the end does it matter? No. What does matter, however, is the fact that at 11:40 on October, 27th 2004 Edgar Renteria grounded out to the Foulke - Mienty combination.

Perhaps the Red Sox should stop focusing on this ball and focus more on the off season to prepare for next season's run. I'd rather see them hoisting the trophey again than with a lousy ball.
