Eternity of Update

Okay so one trip to Arizona, one week of driving, and one first week of stressful classes later and the entire Red Sox situation is different.

This ALWAYS happens to me - I go away and fifteen hundred moves are made.

Let's recap what happened last time I went away backpacking: they TRADED NOMAR!

Okay so this time things weren't that shocking but... all the same:

Coco Crisp (not an upgrade but not drop from damon either)

Alex Gonzalez deal (cheap and good)

Theo's Return (he was just holding off to see if we'd be decent before he associated his name with the sox again folks)

Angels decline offer for Manny (ughh he is just a problem straight out)

JT Snow (FINALLY A DIRT DOG IN THE INFIELD!!! We needed one after the loss of the dog Mueller)

Its just all so exciting yet fluid.

Thing is we are much further now than we were a month ago to having a team. And what a totally refreshed team we have. It's like Martha Stewart came in and redecorated or something.

Anyway you all can read redsox.com for updates... I'm not going to insult your intelligence by reading it to you.

We should have sent you back-packing before the trade deadline last year - maybe Theo would have come up with the starter we badly needed...

That's not going to be a problem this years starting rotation:
-Schilling
-Wakefield
-Wells (maybe reluctantly.)
-Beckett
-Clemens (I'm a romantic.)

Of course, except for Beckett, they could all retire today.

We should even have our closer back, and some reasonable mid-relief (Riske)

Crisp will hurt from a lead-off perspective; how many fewer runs will the Sox have this year?
